What is NU Stands with Pakistan?

NU Stands with Pakistan is a campus-wide initiative to leverage our organizations and talents to raise money and awareness for the tragic flooding in Pakistan.

Why is this effort being undertaken?

As you may have heard, Pakistan has been struck by a wave of severe floods–the worst ever in the country’s history. Around 1,500 people have died and more than six million have become homeless in the past three weeks. An estimated 13 million people have been affected. The UN has said that this disaster is worse than the earthquake in Haiti and the 2004 tsunami combined. The situation is devastating, and with time, it will only get worse. Disease is spreading among the victims; crops that should have sustained countless people for years are destroyed indefinitely.

We must help.

First off– awesome job, I hope other schools are replicating this and that much sucess is ahead. On the former note–I am a student at Emory and was interested in knowing how you started this up. Is this a collaboration of student clubs ?
what fund raising events did you have?
